Golf Course Review: Sullivan Elks Country Club
Not impressed by the poor condition
I enjoy playing country style courses with elevation changes, variety, scenery, etc. I was told I should try this course. I stopped in to play the front 9 and give the course a try. First surprise was the cost of $19.50 for this 63 year old senior to play nine holes late in the day on a Thursday. By the way, no credit accepted so better bring cash! Teed off on #1 and my ball stopped in the fairway on bare ground, not grass. I was very disappointed in the shape of the course. The condition was extremely poor and I felt I was playing a course in April not June. In all my golf years I have never written a bad review, but I felt I had to on this course. I was not impressed and do not see me returning anytime soon. It is a shame for the course has potential but needs a lot of work.
Based on my experience: I would not play the course again.
